Pretty good day of fishing. The Kings appear to be scattered, but I think we are seeing that there are fish in closer in the 55-65 foot depth range. I will bet that with the clearing water today and tonight, you are going to see a good bite in this depth tomorrow. But who knows? Good luck to all.

You gotta like it when a plan comes together. This morning its blowing out of the northwest, cool, magnificent morning. It's flat on the beach so the pogy pods should be able to come back together from the SW winds of yesterday. Before the blow they were thick from inlet to inlet. The beach waters should clear up bringing the beach spots into play for the tourney. No reports from yesterday due to the winds, but our charter boats are out today so we should be able to provide some water color conditions later today. The weather for Saturday/Sunday is perfect! 2 foot seas...don't get no better than that pal! Wind will move today to north and then to south for Sat/Sun. All indications are the Jolly Mon will be HUGE this year. Come join us. Somebody is going to win a whole bunch of money!
Few things that are on my mind I want to remind participants:
1-- Registration on-site AND on-line will CLOSE AT 10PM, different from the originally published time of 11:59am
2-- The Shallotte Point Flounder Tournament weigh-in will be taking place on Friday and Saturday near Inlet View restaurant at Shallotte Point. There will be law enforcement on-site so SLOW DOWN or you might miss weigh-in.
LATEST REEFCAST for this weekend. Looks like we have gotten lucky- let's go fishing!
What a great turn out for The 1st Annual Rock the Dock Kid's Fishing Tournament! Thanks very much to the event sponsors Marine Service Center of Little River and Zebco. We had a wonderful time with some pretty awesome kids today. The parents weren't too bad either! Everyone fished hard but some fishermen had a little more "luck" than others. We would like to thank all the kids for coming out and participating on such a HOT day. Also we would like to give a big thanks to all the parents and assistants who took time out of their day not only to bring a child fishing, but also endured the heat along side those kids.
