Team Motto: Never give up, the bite happens when you least expect it
Chris Bryan (Captain) – Chris graduated from high school in 1993 and traded in his surfboard for a live bait rod and never looked back. He soaked in as much knowledge as possible along the way about live bait fishing for king mackerel. Some of his fishing influences include local fishing legends Jamie Milliken, Chip Maree, Kyle White, Brant McMullan, Locke Byrd and Adam Sanders. “I can vividly remember the first tournament I fished with my good friend Charles Fox on his mother’s 19’ Grady White dual console, it was the 1994 Jolly Mon King Classic” says Chris. “After the first tournament I fished, I was 110% committed to perfecting the technique and getting a larger/ faster boat of my own so I could compete in all of the tournaments” said Chris. Chris has placed in numerous tournaments and has qualified for the SKA National Championships in 1999 and every year since 2004.
– Chris and Cane have been best friends since they were kids, growing up surfing in the South Brunswick Islands together. Their love for the ocean evolved into offshore fishing and they’ve teamed up to compete in local, regional, and national king mackerel tournaments. Cane is a licensed boat captain and runs fishing charters out of Holden Beach, NC. He’s also an accomplished surfer and all around superior waterman that knows how to catch everything that has a tail in the ocean.
Rob Taylor – Robby Taylor is an accomplished fisherman that is very experienced in the highly competitive NC Bluewater Governor’s Cup Circuit, however is a force to be reckoned with on the SKA Circuit as well. Robby mates on the “Builders Choice”, a 55’ Jarrett Bay that is a proven marlin raiser and works as a boat builder at Cinco Boatworks in Newport, NC.
