"Weekend synopsis" | | 10/14/16

Fishing report for weekend- big red drum bite has picked back up after storm and is very good right along beach in 10-15' of water near schools of Menhaden. Either catch live Menhaden or buy dead at OIFC and fish them on bottom under Menhaden schools- use an 6/0 light wire circle- don't need heavy duty. Also anchoring and chumming at Yaupon or Caudle reefs and fishing live or dead Menhaden on bottom is prodictive. Kings have not been caught since storm but it is worth trying for them in 20-40' depths along beach. It's gonna be too rough to get to Gulf Stream til Sunday or Monday but wahoo will be biting for those who do go. Synopsis- fish very close or very far, middle will be slower. Also flounder r back biting as we've continued to catch off dock. Capt. Brant McMullan

"Fall Brawl reschedule date change" | | 10/04/16

Change of plans- OCTOBER 28-30 is reschedule date- not 21-23. This for many reasons including more time for water to settle, a kingfish event in Murrells Inlet 21-23 and bigger fish later. Let's get past this storm and then hopefully get back to the great fishing that is going on now. Sorry for inconvenience. Capt. Brant McMullan

"Beating Matthew to the Fish" | OIFC World Cat / Carolina Cat | 10/03/16

Today we took out a group of guys from the Charllotte area on a ten hour charter. We focused primarily on the bottom fish bite and ended up with a pretty box consisting of a limit of vermillion snapper, several triggerfish, and one nice grouper.  While moving spots we encountered a buoy with about one hundred feet of rope.  Always keep a watch out because you never know what you may see.
