OIFC Fishing Teams - HAIL YEAH / OIFC

TEAM BIOS

Team Motto: They may beat us, but were not going to give it to them.

Team Members:

Brian Aycock-  I was very fortunate growing up.  I had a grandmother, a grandfather, a father and even uncles that loved to fish. They instilled their love and passion for fishing in me. No matter what type of fishing, or where they were going, they would always let me tag along.  Whether it was fresh or saltwater, I would be the first one up.  I have been blessed to have two boys who I am able to share my love and passion for fishing with, whether it’s a relaxing day on the water or an intense fishing tournament.  My enthusiasm for fishing is probably just as high today as it was when I was 6 years old. It is an incredible moment to watch the boys experience the feeling of catching a great fish. I have been tournament king mackerel fishing for about 20 years.  I have had the pleasure to fish with some great teams through the years. I have been a part of some incredible fishing teams and that have had numerous victories and divisional wins in divisions 1,9 and 10. Next on my list is a 23’ and under title in division 3.

Austin Aycock-  Austin is a young man who was born with sea legs and fishing in his blood.  His father bought him a fishing rod before he was even born. At a very young age, he has had a deep love and passion for fishing.  He has been very fortunate to have learned how to fish with some of the best fishermen ever known.  Surrounding himself with such role models has allowed him to grow up respecting the ocean and the sport of fishing.  He is probably one of the most persistent fishermen around.  He has a burning drive to be a great fisherman one day and definitely the determination to accomplish that goal.  At only the age of 13 years old, he has had more success as a tournament fisherman, than most fishermen get to experience in a lifetime.  This year Austin has his sights set on the Jr angler and 23’ under division 9 titles.
Edward Julian- found the love for the outdoors at a very young age. His first day of Kindergarten he asked if school was necessary if all he was going to do is hunt and fish when he got older. He caught his first Sailfish at the age of 7 in the Barta Tournament and his first Striped Marlin and Pacific Sailfish in Costa Rica at the age of 12. He enjoys talking and sharing hunting and fishing stories with other Outdoorsmen. He has had conservations with the legendary Captain Tred Barta and other well know Captains about the outdoors. He joined the Hail Yeah Fishing Team three years ago and looks forward to many more wins.
Alex Mercer-  Alex has really grown as a fisherman the last couple of seasons.  He has grown up inshore fishing with his Papa and has developed in to an incredible fisherman in a short time. He also has a deep love for fishing and will go anytime he can.  Hopefully this will be Alex’s year to catch a 40# king.

Brandon Aycock-  Brandon is possibly one of the luckiest human beings on the planet.  It seems like every time Brandon is on the boat big fish get caught.  After missing the National Championships in 2011 because he didn’t fish enough SKA tournaments, he has vowed that 2012 will be a full fishing season for him in Division 3.  He is also eyeing the Jr angler award for Division 3.
Tiffany Aycock-  Tiffany is really the backbone of Team Hail Yeah.  She doesn’t get to fish as much as she would like, but she never seems to miss a weigh-in if “her” boys have a fish.  She is the person that plans all of the off water duties that have to be done in order to actually get on the water.  She makes sure that all team members are accounted for,  all team members are decked out in their OIFC gear and that there is enough food and drinks to last at least a week offshore (cause you never know what might happen).
