The most prized game fish in the ocean. The Blue Marlin is powerful, agile and able to leap from the water in incredible aerial displays. Blue Marlin are typically found in 100+ fathoms and feed on dolphin, tuna, wahoo, mackerel, squid, flying fish... In the southern Carolinas they average 200-300 pounds but can certainly be caught in excess of that. They are considered strictly a game fish and should always be released if captured. | |
