Spanish Mackerel

Spanish Mackerel are a very popular nearshore fish. They hold along the beaches and around the inlet mouths from April through October. They are most often caught trolling artificial spoons, but many of the larger Spanish Mackerel are caught by King Mackerel fishermen using live or dead bait. They are very good to eat and typically plentiful.
