The Bonecrusher is at it again at the Jetties. Brandon is retired from the professional leagues and is attempting a come back. A few more weeks like he's been having and he may just make it! Good luck!!!

The Sea Assault's maiden NC voyage was today. This is a new 34 ft. Sea Vee owned by Lee Forbis, with the crew of Ned Garber, Bob Newell, and Web White. This wahoo fell for a pink skirted Capt Joe Shute lure on a planer rod in the prop wash at 100 /400 in 73 degree water . Also the crew boated 5 gaffer mahi, a Blackfin tuna, and a king.
What a way to introduce the SeeVee to the N.C. waters. Thanks for the report Bob.
Yesterday (Friday the 13th), the same day the OIFC fleet had such productive trips Corey Bellemey, Trask Cunnungham and Wyndall all fished aboard Corey's new Donze in the same area as the World Cat and Carolina Cat, near the Blackjack. Trask said these super nice wahoo all hit on red and black.
Thanks for the report Trask.
What a day! Captain Brant sent this reporter a message that he and the crew of our 2nd cat boat were in route to the OIFC and I should meet him there. As I was trespassing on an abandoned golf course on my mountain bike at the time, I kicked it into high gear and headed home to get the camera.
When I got to the docks people were all around looking at two beautiful wahoo, several mahi, black fin tuna and trigger fish. Mike and Amber Clark of Gastonia, N.C. were fishing with Captain Steele, Captain Dew and 1st mate Aaron and caught the smaller of the wahoo, but a metric ton of mahi and trigger fish.
Captain Brant and OIFC cinematographer Terry were fishing with Cody Christian, Brad Desjerlias, Everette Bigeagle (cool name), all of Canada and Louis Fulcher of Fayetteville, N.C. This group caught the bigger of the wahoo, probably in the 40# range.
Both boats were fishing inshore of the Blackjack where the water was 76 degrees and around 180 ft. deep. Steele said the fish were biting anything they threw out.
Speaking of which..these Captains will probably want to throw this reporter out in 180 ft. of water and see what bites me since I erased every $@#* picture I took when I uploaded them to the computer!!! Anyone interested in hiring an elderly reporter?
I HATE FRIDAY THE 13th.
Joe Winslow and Crew just stopped in. Take a look at their nice catch!
30lb Wahoo, and 21lb Dolphin.
Capt. Chris Dew and 1st Mate Aaron Dew took a group on a near shore charter this morning. They said they caught and released 200 sea bass and a bunch of blues.
The crew consisted of Roseann Deucher, Chris Deucher, William Deucher, Thomas Deucher all from Cleveland, Ohio Also aboard were Andrew Deucher and Jack Deucher of Vass, N.C.
Thanks for chartering with the OIFC and I hope ya'll enjoyed yourselves.
John Thompson and Colby Edwards went fishing Monday. They started just off Holden Beach and caught some blues. Then they trolled some king holes in 66 degree water for kings with no luck so they went bottom fishing. The guys caught and released some endangered sea bass, gray trout and whiting. The day ended with Colby catching a big red drum. Colby dedicated the catch to his brother Conner as it was Conner's birthday.
Glad ya'll had an enjoyable day on the water and thanks for the report.
