Hey I'm coming to Ocean Isle May 28-June 4. Even though I live in Tennessee I've always been an avid saltwater Fisher. But at Ocean Isle I never have much luck. I don't have a boat cuz I'm 17. But I would like to know what kind of fish people are catching in waters near craven Street and in those canals and on the surf. Thanks!

"Save The Date" | Do Work / OIFC | 04/21/16

Keep Saturday May 21st open.  The Ocean Isle Fishing Club is planning on having a flounder tournament at the Ocean Isle Fishing Center.  The format will be similiar to the Christmas Trout Tournament.  More info to come !!!!!!!  I will keep you posted

Dang, sounds like a good time. Any other weekend and I would love to fish it, but there is also a tournament at Carolina Beach that same weekend.

Jim Everly 04/21/2016

Dang, always look forward to a tournament down South but unfortunately there is a flounder tournament in Carolina Beach that weekend!

"Stream Class- 1 spot left for Sat-Sun" | | 04/20/16

I have one spot left for the stream class this weekend. It looks like the weather will push the actual land class to Sat eve and then we will fish the stream on Sunday. Call 910-575-3474 for the last spot. Also on that note, the Naughty By Nature crew fished the Stream on Tuesday and had the season's first Carolina Slam with tuna, dolphin and wahoo. Capt. Three spots remain open for this year's first backwater school April 22nd land class 5:30 p.m. and 23rd Full Day of fishing. This school covers using soft plastics to target redfish, trout, and flounder. You learn how to effectively read the water and learn how tides influence certain areas. Live bait and natural baits will also be covered to target black drum, redfish, and flounder...when to use a float and when to use a Carolina rig. Should I drift or should I anchor? Join our class and learn the techniques that other anglers are already using to be successful on the water! Call 910 575 3474 to book your spot today. The weather looks great this weekend. See ya on the water!

"High School Fishing League" | OIFC | 04/18/16

The next High School Fishing League tournament is this Saturday, April 23rd.  We are down to two final events for the year -- we need boats with boat drivers to volunteer to take teams of 2 high school students for a day of fishing to compete in their tournament.  Species are Flounder, Redfish, Trout and Black Drum.

We have 16 teams ready to fish but only 6 boats that are committed; so if we don't get enough boats, the event will have to be cancelled.  If you have the time and the boat and you want to get on the water, please email me captbrant@oifc.com so I can get you set up to assist.

If you want to see what the league is about, visit www.bchsfa.com

Thank you for the consideration.
