Brandon Sauls reports that his fellow coworker at IntracoastalNet Designs Johathan Richey took top place in the OIFC Rodeo with a 7.1 lb redfish. Of course Brandon says it was only possible because the captain was the one and only Bonecrusher.
Great job and fantastic report. Everyone is invited to enter the Rodeo and take part in some of the fun. Jolly Mon anglers, be sure to enter the King Division!!!
As always, if you have a report and pictures you would like to share, send it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
NO EXCUSES ON THIS ONE. MOTHER NATURE IS GRANTING US A BLESSING. FISH FAR OR NEAR, YOUR CHOICE, NO OBSTACLES SO LONG AS WITHIN THE RULES.
Lazy day on the docks at Ocean Isle with Madison Lathem & Brandon Aycock
Today while we were driving home, Camdyn said Dad I need to get my fishing stuff for the Rock the Dock. So off to the OIFC we went. Once we arrived, Camdyn went down the isles asking tons of questions about hooks, swivels, and all the good stuff you would need. We got some supplies and headed home. At the house Camdyn sat down on her own and prepped for the Rock the Dock. We also made a huge accomplishment while prepping, Camdyn learned how to tie her own flounder rigs. She sat down and tied four. So the point to this story is that the kids take their fishing just as serious as we do. The Rock the Dock is a great way to get the kids involved in fishing. I cant wait to watch the show on the dock Thursday and hope to see all the little ones out there, "Rock'in the Dock".

Well now that the storm is gone the back waters should clear up. The flounder did bite a little bit on the beginning of the rising tide in Tubbs inlet yesterday. We missed a couple of fish anf decidied to try the Shallotte River. The water was cleaner but they did'nt bite. Clearing conditions this week will help us get back on track.
As you can tell in the picture the OIFC Rodeo has a pretty nice pot. In fact I think it is already as much as it was last year.
Jolly Mon anglers...joining the rodeo is another way to win some money & get a cool looking trophy.
The World Cat with Capt. Chris Dew & 1st Aaron Dew leaving for a Gulf Stream charter.
Shipment of bait pins from Rob's Reel Bait came in today. I picked up mine and it is outstanding. Even has a place to put a chum block to feed the bait while they wait for the next tournament. Be sure to stop in and pick one up. They will go fast.
