"Back to Fall Fishing" | Catch All | 10/19/16

Today was proof that Fall fishing has attempted to bounce back from Hurricane Mathew. Despite poor water clarity, quite a few kingfish were caught at local near shore spots from Myrtle Beach to Oak Island. Also, anglers fishing near the gulf stream reported a decent wahoo bite today as well. And don’t forget about the mid range grouper bite starting to pick up. The time to go fishing is NOW. Saturday is looking a tad bumpy for long range trips but Friday and Sunday are looking a lot better. Whether it be a 4-hour redfish trip or a 12-hour wahoo adventure, come experience the fall fishing. Call (910) 575-3474 to book today.

October is also Gag Grouper month. It's one of my favorite fish to target as they can be quite tough to conquer. Today we did fairly well on them in the 80' depth range. Lots of fun and entertainment with my dad the GooRube and friend Brad Faulk. Capt. Brant McMullan

From the beach to the Gulf Stream - you can't beat fall fishing. 8 hour action with the Blanton family and friends today. Pictured below Hailey, with a keeper gag grouper. She must have been taking notes from her father Tony over the years of fishing with us because she winched it up from 65 feet like a pro. The second picture, Ryan Wilson shows off his first bull redfish. Call 910-575-3474 to book your trip today!

"Time to go fishing!!" | | 10/15/16

Fishing is very good for Redfish on 6hr, Grouper on 8hr and Wahoo on 12hr. The weather looks really good this week through Thursday. Fishing is all about timing and this week is shaping up to offer opportunity to hit it right. Friendly notice from Capt. Brant :) call 910-575-3474 to book. Lastly there are two types of people; those who make excuses to go fishing and those who make excuses not to go fishing. This is your chance to be the first option! Capt. Brant McMullan

"Weekend synopsis" | | 10/14/16

Fishing report for weekend- big red drum bite has picked back up after storm and is very good right along beach in 10-15' of water near schools of Menhaden. Either catch live Menhaden or buy dead at OIFC and fish them on bottom under Menhaden schools- use an 6/0 light wire circle- don't need heavy duty. Also anchoring and chumming at Yaupon or Caudle reefs and fishing live or dead Menhaden on bottom is prodictive. Kings have not been caught since storm but it is worth trying for them in 20-40' depths along beach. It's gonna be too rough to get to Gulf Stream til Sunday or Monday but wahoo will be biting for those who do go. Synopsis- fish very close or very far, middle will be slower. Also flounder r back biting as we've continued to catch off dock. Capt. Brant McMullan
